"Yes they are in trouble, but its not their fault. Any government would have been in the same situation. When people refute law and order, the situation can not be controlled taking into all the human rights ethics. People out of pressure from fundamentalist, frustration, and victim of pseudo-democracy can do whatever they want because history tells them that no one can harm them. Their issues might be genuine but the way they are following some brainwashed people is not very dissimilar than the Maoists'.
On the other hand, what you call the 'civic society' do not bother anything which is not going to affect them directly. They have so many problems of their own and they have to move on despite of some incidents even like 'Mumbai Attacks'. It is only the media that actually keeps the dead things alive but sometimes you too focus on what can be sold in market rather than what should be."

On Hindi Diwas, P Chidambaram promotes the use of Hindi as a national language.
