ibnlive.com Should the government call off the Games? (Sep 21)

The Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, scheduled to begin Oct 3, is under serious risk of being called off, the New Zealand team's chef de mission Dave Currie said on Tuesday.

"Though it will earn a bad name but if we could not make it success that will be a blot for generations. Considering the situations - natural as well as man made, now I also support it should be postponed to some convenient time. Its a tough time for us, J K, so many scams, maiost, infiltration to name a few and now the potential problem Babri Masjid verdict. Let us accept our fault now to avoid any future humiliation."

The Times of India ‎97% say Games bosses have tarred India's image: TOI Poll. http://toi.in/Ggs7rZ. What's your take? (Sep 23)

"Yes they have. However, we are to execute it in whatsoever situations and it can not be postponed, why can not the media support the organisers. Its not the time for finding mistakes and for the time being take the games as your responsibility too because you are the photographer of India. I came to know that the foreign media is quoting your references in their bulletin for the CWG . Is that what our media want?"

It's Fortress Games Village as a four-layer security cordon has been thrown around the premises.
"More than the actual mess in the games what our media projected. When foreign media quoted their reference in their programs without any independent assessment, we should have taken every single step with utmost care. The implications are defaming of Goodian enterprizes and rejection by some countries as their minds are preoccupied with the over hyped situations. It was our mistake and media should make a note not to repeat it in future atleast. For now great job for the organisers!" (1 Likes)

"History has made me a sceptical enough to trust any American move. They are the biggest opportunistic, whatever they do, there is a hidden benefit for them and thats how they became superpower. There is no doubt that the american resources supplied for Pakistan have been invariably used against India and WikiLeaks proved it. I doubt what they say and what they do." (1 Likes)

"That should be the priviledge of the hosting nation to inaugurate any global games. We are just commemorating the colonization period and there does not exist a Queen or Prince for the commonwealth nations as such. However, I am assured with this news that despite of the over publicity by the media everything is good and it will be a successful event. I thought he would not turn up for that even!"

ibnlive.com Do you think politicians wuld have preferred to defer the verdict further? (Sep 29)

ibnlive.in.com
The High Court will deliver the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit case verdict on Sept 30 at 3:30 PM.
"Perhaps yes! Its not because they think there can not be a solution acceptable to both communities at one go that could not be achieved in a century. They (read BJP) can win an election on the name of making a Mandir, they(read INC) can also appease the minority by their double standards and some (read local parties) can also make dividends by joining either side of the coin. The people should atleast now understand their nerve and should play some decisive role in shaping indian politics as well as society."

ibnlive.com Tembhli village, which got its first electricity connection a week back, is now part of history.(Sep 29)

ibnlive.in.com
By far the government's most ambitious project, the first Unique Identity Number (UID) card comes to Tembhli village in the most backward Nandurbar district of Maharashtra.
"Due to lack of holistic planning so many people were and are still suffering despite of our whopping 8.5% economic and so called inclusive growth. With equipping our metros with world standard infrastructure, we should also focus on the basic needs of our rural areas from where the metros get workers to work for. Without bridging this gap we can not achieve the fancy goal of 'inclusive growth'."

ibnlive.com And finally some good news for the families of the abducted policemen. (Sep 30)

ibnlive.in.com
The Naxals have allowed TV crews to film the Chhattisgarh cops who were abducted 10 days ago and kept hostage inside deep jungle on the Chhattisgarh-Andhra border.
" I hope there wont be any conciliatory exchange of arrested leaders. For the time being they can be saved but themselves know that the released will not spare them (abducted personnel) next time with many of their friends. Hope the government will reach something which will be fruit bearing on long run."
